Please Don't Vote to Kill Me!

I have just gone around to different blogs from Portugal asking that they vote NO on the upcoming election there to legalize abortion. I wrote my message in English but then also published a translated version in Portuguese from the Google translating tool. I hope that it will do some good. I will update you if I get any response from any of the blogs I left comments on, for either yea or nae.

Hello Mr. First of all I am not allowed to be catholic (and I dont really want to anyway) because I'm a fag, so spare me the religious sermon please. The only reason I will vote NO it's because I believe that life exists since the very beggining, since the baby is created, since day zero. That is why I'm voting NO. Goodbye

Well I'm glad that unattached is voting NO even though I disagree with the way people like him/her live life.

You are doing great work for God by going to Portuguese blogs! Please keep me updated! Also, I don't use Google because of the poor translation. I prefer FreeTranslation.com, which is better.

Mr MoneyBags...You only disagree with the way "people like me" live their lifes, because you're not living it...I can't convince you to ignore your bible teachings of course, but homossexuality always existed, even in the Roman era, they actually accepted it in that time...you should study about it... The fact that you "hate us" is only catholic cliché... You should be more human and try to understand and accept it, people "like me" never choose to be like this... what do you think? That I woke up one morning and said: " I know! I'll be gay! What a great idea..." nop...wrong, I was born like this, and it is something I have to live with...so...try to be a little more human, and understand. That's all. Bye

I do try to understand.

First, let me make it clear that the Church teaches that homosexuality is NOT a sin. You being gay doesn't make it sinful. You are that way. It's not a sin. But, homosexual actions are to be condemned. I hope you understand the distinction - it's "love the sinner, hate the sin".

Unattached,
Thank you for your response as to what your vote will be on February 11th. True Catholics love everybody no matter who they are or what they do. God loves everybody no matter what they do or who they are. But because God loves us He has given us the chance to follow Him and to keep His commandments. In the Bible it is clear that God condemned Homosexuality, but that does not mean that God does not love Homosexuals. I believe that when people do what God wants them to, they will be truly happy even though they may have to suffer some first. You will be truly happy and experience a peace you have never known before if you give your life to God. He will protect you and be able to help you when you open yourself to Him. I will keep you in my prayers, and thanks for the comments! God Bless!
